Head of Cumberland LabNaveen has a deep background in technology, especially AI and data. He was a brain scientist at Columbia University and MIT, where he worked on how to make computer networks behave like networks in the brain.
Naveen created the world’s first self-serve AI modeling service, and has created and launched companies in various industry sectors including financial services, security, logistics, and most recently blockchain and DeFi.

Vinayak Javaly
Systems ArchitectVinayak is an expert in systems design, with over 25 years’ experience in big data, machine learning and more recently in blockchain based systems. He focuses on application development, scalability, performance tuning and capacity planning.
Vinayak teaches at Baruch college in New York, and is a frequent guest lecturer on Big Data at Rutgers, NYU, and General Assembly. He is passionate about how to get good ideas to scale.

He focuses on model development with statistical and advanced techniques, like LSTM, BERT and GNNs.
His passion is bringing the best of AI to web3 and blockchain.
